Kern Insurance, a rapidly growing insurance agency with over 50 years of industry expertise! We are in the heart of Central California, with our main office in Bakersfield, CA. As a generalist agency, we cater to a wide range of industries and offer both personal and commercial insurance coverage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all aspects of client service for assigned accounts including billing, policy collection, review, and marketing of new and renewal policies.

Fulfill client service requests for commercial insurance accounts in a professional manner through checking policies, issuing binders, certificates, and endorsements.


Work closely with producers to offer support to existing and potential customers.


Assist in the marketing of new and renewal commercial accounts through the compilation of submission information in conjunction with appropriate client contacts.


Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters.


Maintain consistent and continuous communication with assigned clients, including tasks related to new business set-up and applications, renewal applications and marketing.

Knowledge of insurance industry and understanding the terms of coverage offered.

Maintain current and accurate client data in the Agency Management System (Vertafore/AMS)


Maintain timeliness and completeness of work when interacting with clients, agency, and carrier personnel to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

· Insurance certifications of CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM, or equivalent preferred

JOB TYPE: Full-time


PAY: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year


EXPERIENCE: 4 years


WORK SCHEDULE:

·Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

·Pacific Time


SUPPLEMENTAL PAY TYPE:

  • Bonus Pay

LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:

  • General Lines - Property and Casualty Insurance License ( Required)
  • CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM, or equivalent ( Preferred)
