Commercial Pre-Construction Manager (Relocate To Denver)

Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for Pre-Construction Managers. Pre-Construction Managers drive the pipeline of work at MYC, and are essential to the profitability of our projects, from remodels to new construction.

The Pre-Construction Manager estimates costs of construction, as well as participating in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering and analysis, scheduling, constructability reviews, and more.

• Position requires relocation to Denver, CO with company paid assistance***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Professionally represent Mark Young Construction and support company strategic initiatives
• Assume overall responsibility for preconstruction stage of each project and primary responsibility for large, commercial complex projects
• Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with all business partners including owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors
• Identify tasks to be accomplished in order to satisfy contractual requirements
• Perform value engineering and life-cycle costing
• Effectively schedule preconstruction efforts including estimate milestones, durations; Identify long lead items and other needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Knowledge of construction costs, project budgeting, vendor selection, client proposals and owner/architect/general
• Ability to read and analyze construction documents for commercial and civil construction projects
• Ability to solve practical problems and examine a variety of tangible variables
• Strong understanding of commercial construction industry practices and standards
• Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Managers and Vendors
