We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to drive Perdue AgriBusiness' commercial; strategies and lead our sales initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in growing our business, expanding our company's market share, and increasing profitability.


Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The overall purpose of this position:

  • Serves as a liaison with production, supply chain, and Research & Development to address day-to-day business decisions.
  • To lead, direct and manage all Animal Nutrition sales, pricing, and marketing functions.

Be a part of the strategic planning process for Animal Nutrition.


Responsibilities of this position:

  • Business Growth and Development: Identify market opportunities to increase profits, including potential customers, industries, or territories. Evaluate market trends and provide insights about product offerings, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with partners and key customers. Negotiate contracts that align with company's strategy and financial objectives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, like Production, Supply Chain, R&D and Customer Service, to optimize sales and customer satisfaction. Ensure all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume, and efficiency targets.
  • Sales Leadership: Develop and implement the sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals. Drive sales, formulating plans and pricing strategy, based on supply & demand analysis and business intelligence.
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets and individual personal goals. Provide coaching and performance feedback, identify training needs. Participate in talent acquisition and developing sales training programs.
  • Reporting: Monitor performance against the commercial budget and analyze sales data to identify business growth opportunities. Report key results to senior management.


Minimum Education

BS Degree (AgriBusiness, Business or Sales & Marketing)

MBA OR relevant qualification will be a plus.


Experience Requirements

  • Proficient in relevant software and applications
  • Basic understanding of Nutrition is a plus.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Agribusiness is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a significant emphasis on sales.
  • Experience in budget development and oversight.


Experience Preferred

15+ years of experience preferred.


Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

The environmental factors and physical requirements of this position include the following:

Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities and customer locations. Able to use standard office equipment and communicate on the telephone.
