Position Title-Commercial Coordinator
Salary Exempt
Reports to : Business Manager
POSITION GOAL: To prepare and present all quotes for both new and existing programs, making sure that the cost to sales ratio is in line with divisional objectives.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: Responsible for the quoting activity to make sure consistency and accuracy are presented to customers; compliance with company ECN (engineering change notice) procedure to make sure all changes meet commercial expectations and timing commitments of both the division and our customer; ensure timely, effective, accurate, and complete communication to build and maintain excellent customer relations; closely collaborate with Process, Product, and Tooling Engineer.
THE POSITIONS' ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Ensure efficient communication channels for the dissemination and use of ECN's
• Get ready to present all quotes to steering team members and department heads for their approval.
• Recognize and advance business philosophies
• Check that all current pricing appropriately reflects the entire part history and that all quoted and implemented modifications accurately represent the payment the customer is receiving.
• Verify that all necessary client documentation, including purchase orders, permission to proceed letters, and other documents, is current and up to the standards to which tools are being developed.
• Comply with and enforce all plant safety regulations.
• Ensure that all programs have a thorough history of cost vs sales.

Support the lean manufacturing process and ongoing improvement.

• Encourages proper cleaning (5S) 10) Carry out further tasks as needed.

Ability to operate in a collaborative environment. Strong verbal and writing interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities. Solid grasp of pricing models.

• Must be prepared to work overtime or on a flexible schedule as necessary to satisfy customer demands.

ACTUAL DEMANDS
Long-term sitting, sporadic bending and stooping, and occasionally lifting as needed are some of the physical demands of this job.
USED EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS
Computer, phone, copier/printer, and fax machine are just a few examples of the tools and equipment used.
¬¬¬¬¬¬ KNOWLEDGE
High school diploma or GED is required for education; Ideally, you'll have a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or accounting.
TRAINING IN TECHNIQUE:
OTHER: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel on a computer.
Experience At Work
What kinds? ideally automotive manufacturing experience with costing and quoting
THE AMOUNT? 2-4 years
WHAT OTHER ABILITIES OR SKILLS WOULD BE USEFUL FOR THE JOB?

• Product Viewer or CAD experience -CMS expertise
• Basics of manufacturing (welding, stamping, process engineering)

The Commercial Coordinator ensures that all quotes are correct and reflect current manufacturing to reach and maintain the division's profitability.
