Cnc Set Up Machinist

CNC Set Up Description:

• Inspect and measure machined parts with general measuring devices
• Perform set up of Haas milling machines efficiently and professionally
• Clean environment, smog hogs on many of the machines
• Load and troubleshoot programs, maintain a clean work area
• Perform First Article inspection, communicate and work with others
• Able to work in a fast paced environment

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Necessary to Successfully Perform this Position:

• On time and reliable, work in an ISO 9001 facility
• Ability to read/ interpret blueprints, self motivated, follow written instructions
• Ability to perform light program editing and tool offsets using Haas controls

Prior Experience Desired:

• Willing to work swing and overtime a plus
• Own tools a plus
• 5th axis experience and Gibbs programming a plus
• Past CNC lathe setup and CMM experience a plus
• 5+ years experience in machine shop, setting up CNC mills

Expectation:

• Wear safety glasses and punch in on the time clock
• Read the traveler, check rev’s, print #’s, material, attention to detail
• Fast professional set-ups and trouble shooting
