Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precise and high-quality machining parts. The CNC Programmer should possess a strong attention to detail and be able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances and verify machine settings for optimal performance
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and attachments required for each job
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their operational efficiency
  • Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and/or routers
  • Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and complete projects within defined timelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions and errors
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine requirements
  • Keep accurate records of production data, such as material usage and machine maintenance
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality results
  • Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming
  • Familiarity with various CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, and routers
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical vocational training is a plus
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
  • Proven work experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
