$4,000 Sign-on Bonus potential for 30+ hour, 1West, CNA night positions. (Must have at least 1 year of recent CNA experience. New MGH hires only. Rehires within 1 year are not eligible.)
The Role
Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) Cardio/ Pulmonary Med Surg at the Alfond Center for Health.
The Opportunity
MaineGeneral Health is seeking CNA to join the 1 West Cardio/ Pulmonary Med Surg unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This is a magnificent opportunity to join a team-oriented group of professionals full-time 30 hour per week from 7p – 7a position.
The Work
  • Obtain a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
  • Provide physical support for patients or residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
  • Provide great patient care.
  • Turn and repositioning bedridden patients.
  • Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine.
  • Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
  • Answer patient calls and determining how best to help them.
You Have
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) and is an active and in good standing on the State of Maine CNA registry.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, effectively manage time and good problem-solving skills.
