Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Senior Cloud Engineer will be the technical subject matter expert for Sentinel's Data Center and Cloud offering. This will include managing and maintaining a number of computer platforms (UCS/VMware), storage platforms (ScaleIO/Pure), DR solutions, backup solutions, and various Windows OS platforms.

This role will focus on the day-to-day operations of two large data center faculties, and ensuring constant up time and performance. In addition to running the data center environment, this role will be responsible for evaluating and designing new solutions, products, and data center locations. This role can be remote but must provide occasional onsite support at our Downers Grove, IL location.
Qualifications:
  • Design, implement, and oversee operations of enterprise VMware environments
  • Familiarity with Public Cloud platform (AWS/Azure)
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
  • Experience with automation scripting (powershell/Python)
  • Strong experience working with Windows and Linux Server
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Experience with Cisco UCS server Infrastructure
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications (AD/DNS/SQL)
  • Strong communication skills and a team playerThe candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Knowledge and configuration of storage technologies
  • Experience with Datacenter migration and onboarding new customers
  • VCloud Director experience will be a huge plus
  • Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions - Veeam, Zerto
