Prosperity is a clinician-owned eating disorder treatment center that specializes in Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient work.

Our clinicians provide individual, group, and family therapy to ages ten and older and with all types of eating disorders.

Our therapists are well-trained and supervised by Certified Eating Disorder Specialists and are trained in evidence-based practices.

We follow the protocols and expectations of the State of Virginia's and Joint Commission's policies and procedures.

The Therapist is the expert in providing high-quality clinical services that will elicit positive change and recovery for their client and families. The Therapist has a strong ability to build rapport, trust, and advocacy for their clients and groups.

• Complete the UR form the day before the utilization review is due.
• Provide appropriate access to family members for questions and support.
• Review the Intake Assessment and medical records before a client’s admission to treatment and finish BPS within 1st or 2nd session.
• Ensure clients and families have all resources for the next level of care upon discharge, including referrals and schedules.
• Conduct individual psychotherapy sessions, 2 times weekly for each PHP client, 1 time a week for IOP clients, utilizing appropriate evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions and document sessions using a SOAP note format within 48 hours.
• Complete individual/group/family notes within 48 hours of the session.
• Assess for client suicidality, self-harm, and fall risk on an ongoing basis.
• Facilitate group therapy as directed by the program schedule.
• Provide conjoint family therapy (when clinically indicated) at least once each week to address issues related to the client’s family experience. The therapist ensures that each family member is fully educated regarding the Program’s goals and methods and the client’s discharge plan. It is key that the family knows how to approach and implement all discharge recommendations.
• Update the Treatment Plan with the client monthly.
• Complete the Problem List and Comprehensive Treatment Plan within 5 days of admission.
• Ensure clients are working on their treatment binders and recovery plan weekly.
• Complete the Discharge Plan during the client’s last weeks of the program or within three days of discharge.

• Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, a professional manner, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Clinicians must be licensed or registered (or pre-licensed) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Must complete at least 15 CEUs a year in the field of eating disorders and counseling.
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities, and to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds.
• Must understand the therapeutic process and confidentiality laws, and have strong knowledge of professional ethics.
• The Program Therapist must possess a Master’s degree in an appropriate field.
