Job Summary

Clinical Therapist I works in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible treatment outcome for our clients, ages 0-17, and provide treatment in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360's philosophy, goals, policies, mission, and vision. Clinical Therapist I utilizes different modalities including individual, group, and family therapy. Clinical Therapist I provides clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, interventions, crisis interventions, and discharge planning in outpatient, residential, or field setting based on client and program needs. Clinical Therapist I participates in the on-call rotation and may be required to respond after hours. This is a union position.

What You´ll Do

• Writes client progress letters and court reports and obtains final approval from the supervisor.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team including the Case Manager, Counselor, Medical, and Psychiatrist.
• Meets expected client care hours (productivity expectation is 25 client care hours per week).
• Maintains frequent communication with the treatment team and engages in regular consultations, clinical team, case conferences, and plan development meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintains full compliance with BBS or CBP regulations.
• Provides thorough clinical assessment and diagnoses.
• Maintains compliance with due dates for all clinical documentation including assessment, treatment plan, treatment plan updates, re-assessments, discharges, outcome measures, and other clinical documents.
• Seeks clinical consultation throughout the treatment episode and when encountering new and/or high-risk clinical circumstance.
• Assists with crisis assessment, crisis intervention, and symptom management within assigned programs by providing 24-hour 7 day per week after-hours coverage on rotation with other Therapists.
• Documentation must be maintained in compliance with agency policy and procedures, HIPAA, 42-CFR, DMH, and SAPC standards.
• Monitors treatment progress and updates the treatment plan as needed.

Education

What You´ll Need:

• MSW, MFT, PCC, or PsyD from an accredited graduate school and current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or the California Board of Psychology (CBP).

Experience

• Preferably minimum of two years' experience providing DMH or SAPC services as a therapist.
• Experience with effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred.

Competencies

• Knowledge of and application of client-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, recovery model, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Culturally competent and able to work with diverse population.

Other Requirements

• Must be able to meet health screening and TB test requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain satisfactory background check.
• Must be able to meet and maintain credentialing requirements.
• Possess current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• In compliance with the California Department of Public Health's mandate, all employees must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Medical and religious exemptions are available.
