Guard Medical is looking for experienced Clinical Support Specialists to join us in sharing the NPseal story to lead to Smarter Healing for patients and healthcare practitioners. This position is responsible for supporting the selling and educational activities to ensure proper utilization and growth of the NPseal negative pressure dressing in the clinical setting within their assigned geography. This business-critical role requires a self-motivated professional with previous patient care experience in the clinical setting as well as medical device industry experience providing clinical education, technical training and procedural support in the healthcare setting. As part of the Guard Medical organization, this individual will have a unique opportunity to introduce the surgical community to the NPseal dressing and its breakthrough value proposition to patients and healthcare practitioners.


Responsibilities

Reporting to VP Marketing / Sales

  • Represent Guard Medical during surgical procedures and provide expertise in proper utilization and application of NPseal
  • Partner with local Guard Medical sales representative to optimize customer support and growth strategy
  • Provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training (ie. Train the Trainer)
  • Manage travel and expenses per approved budget and timelines
  • Lead and Support nursing in-service sessions as needed and requested
  • Conduct clinical support activity in strict compliance with FDA regulations and Code of Conduct (e.g. Sunshine Act) policies
  • Perform regular education and training sessions with hospital staff that may be involved with the care of patients during and after surgery
  • Effectively communicate the clinical, ease-of-use and cost-savings benefits of NPseal compared to traditional dressings and NPWT competitive offerings
  • Partner with internal Guard Medical groups on marketing needs and development activity
  • Maintain vendor credentials to work in hospitals and other medical facilities as required
  • Develop and manage relationships with key customer decision-makers including physicians, nurses, decision makers, and Operating Room staff
  • Ensure all required contacts, activities and reporting forms are maintained accurately
  • Become an expert at understanding the healthcare partner’s unmet needs as it comes to the management and protection of closed surgical incisions


Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass background checks, drug screens and certain immunizations as required to work in hospital and healthcare settings
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile available for business purposes
  • Must be willing and able to travel (by automobile or air, day trips and overnight stays) 25-50% of the time
  • Outstanding customer-focused skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1-3 years experience as a healthcare professional as well as 1-2 years related medical device experience in a Clinical Specialist role focusing on the hospital Operating Room or surgery center setting
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and other related tools
