Clinical Social Worker (Lisw) (Part Time-Full Time) #1035

SUMMARY: The Clinical Social Worker III can effectively assume the role of a generalist and performs individual and family assessments on both an inpatient and outpatient basis and throughout the continuum of care. The CSW III conducts individual, family and group counseling and regularly assists with or assumes responsibility for discharge planning. The CSW III provides consultation and education programming to MCRHC staff and to the community.

QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Social Work from a CSWE training program required. Must complete Mandt training and maintain certification. Previous demonstrated competence in assessment and counseling. Must be licensed as an Independent Social Worker in Iowa. Must have demonstrated training or competence in working with patients of all age ranges and a wide range of pathologies. Competence demonstrated in training and experience, in specialized areas of behavioral health care, such as adolescent treatment, chronic mental illness, gender specific issues, borderline personality disorder, employee assistance, etc, is preferred. Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status. Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years. Completes MANDT Training within 6 months of hire and maintains current status.
