Clinical Research Associate Coordinator

This position will assist with several projects working with Dr. Michelle Failla and Todd Monroe in the Pain and Aging Lab within the College of Nursing. The Pain and Aging Lab focuses on understanding the neurobiological basis and psychological effects of pain in autism and older populations with and without dementia. This position will serve as a project coordinator for multiple research projects.

Tasks will include but will not be limited to:

• Collaborate with principal investigators regarding protocol implementation and monitoring
• Coordinate research participant appointments
• Manage IRB interactions including continuing reviews and amendments
• Recruit and screen potential participants
• Assist in coordinating student research assistants
• Obtain informed consent from participants
• Organize and maintain project records in compliance with the University and College of Nursing data management and storage requirements
• Coordinate communication with other staff for research participant scheduling
• Assist in data analysis
• Collect study data, including psychophysics data, and manage REDCap data
• Assist and manage community-recruitment and advertisements

Minimum Education Required, degree level and focus area (based on Career Band and Level Guide): Bachelors degree in health science, neuroscience, psychology, or related-field, or equivalent combination of education experience

Minimum Years of Experience Required (based on Career Band and Level Guide): 0; preferred 0-2 years of experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in clinical or basic human research
• Experience with autistic people
• Experience with RedCap
