Day - 12 Hour (United States of America) Clinical Nurse (RN), Medicine AAU C3 - Full-Time 0.90 FTE 12-hour Day Shift
C3 is a 18-bed Acuity Adaptable Unit (AAU), which allows an individual patient room within a nursing unit to be reconfigured to meet the needs of the patient's level of acuity. There is a 3:1 patient to nurse ratio for Intermediate ICU level of acuity or 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio for the Acute Care level of acuity. The unit serves an internal medicine patient population who may require cardiac monitoring. We care for specialty patient populations including advanced lung disease, solid organ transplant, cardiology, and hepatology. The diverse and complex patient population allows our nurses to further develop clinical expertise and a strong foundation of nursing knowledge.
Our unit prides itself on exceptional teamwork and shared leadership. We have a focus on professional development and furthering our unit vision: to provide excellence in care through science, compassion, and collaboration.

Symbolizing our patient-centered beliefs and values, the PPM exemplifies nurse autonomy over clinical practice and the practice environment, depicting effective communication between interprofessionals to result in high-quality patient care.
ANCC Magnet Designation: The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Model provides a framework for clinical, operational, and leadership practice, serving as a roadmap for Stanford Nursing's ongoing pursuit toward nursing excellence.
Watson Caring Science: Beginning in 2007, SHC embraced Jean Watson's transformative "Caring Science" theory of human caring and love. This intertwining of "Caring Science" with nursing practice translates into increased intentionality and a deepening of authentic presence; thereby renewing nurse relationships through universal, ethical, and person-centered care.
