The Clinical Mental Health Professional utilizes clinical expertise to perform psychosocial assessments, develop and implement plans of care appropriate care team, assess crisis situations to appropriately provide needed resources and or referrals for the patient, and to provide family and individual treatment as indicated. This position works collaboratively with patients, patient's significant other, families, healthcare providers, insurers, community resources, and all other involved parties. This position provides care appropriate to the established plan of care in the assigned patient population.The Clinical Mental Health Professional will assess the patient's medical history, mental health history, and current presentation to understand the patient's needs from treatment, and then develop a plan of care either individually or with input from the patient, patient family and significant others, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

Position Details:
This position is for child day treatment at Wasatch Canyons in Taylorsville.
This is a day shift position, M-F, for child day treatment. Generally most clinicians work from 8-4. No remote work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Computer skills (email, word processing, and spreadsheets).
- Master's degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
- Current State of Utah licensure as LCSW or CMHC
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in a pediatric medical setting.
- Experience supporting patients with complex medical conditions.
- DBT training

Physical Requirements
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
