Summary
Facilitates the educational development and professional growth of assigned nursing personnel. Responsibilities include development and implementation of orientation, inservice and continuing education for the staff which focuses upon the scope of service, emphasizing the age, psychosocial and physical needs of the patient population.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Three to five years specialty-specific nursing experience. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrated effective organizational, teaching and leadership skills. Nursing certification preferred.Verbal abilities for making presentations. Much standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material. Visual/auditory acuity needed.
