Job Title: Clinical Director, Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)


FLSA: Exempt


Reports To: Operations Director, Intensive Behavioral Health Services


Department: Community Wellness Services


Summary


The Clinical Director is a leadership position with a requirement to complete billable time and provide supervisory oversight to designated IBHS service area by collaborating and delegating appropriate tasks within the IBHS team. The Clinical Director of IBHS collaborates with the Operations Director of IBHS to ensure that all IBHS regulations outlined in Department of Human Services Chapter 1155 are followed. The Clinical Director will act in the role of Behavior Analyst, Behavior Consultant-ABA, or other identified role as needed, and to fulfill billable responsibilities.


The Clinical Director acts as the driving force of all treatment planning, supervision, and training in the IBHS ABA and Individual Services Programs. The Clinical Director will be the primary contact for planning ongoing IBHS training, ensuring clinical supervision requirements are met, and maintaining clinical oversight for the IBHS program. The Clinical Director will provide expertise in Trauma-Informed Care, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and other clinical interventions to support the development of staff and treatment services for IBHS individuals served.


In addition to the details and requirements listed below, Folium, Inc. expects the employee to be committed to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery. Commitment to these principles in trauma treatment will be required through attendance in trainings and use of identified evidence-based practices. Trauma-informed care includes cultural sensitivity and emphasizes a safe and respectful environment for all clients and staff.


Duties And Responsibilities


The Clinical Director provides overall clinical leadership and is responsible for the following duties within their assigned operating division:


  • Maintain clinical oversight of all IBHS service areas.


oConsultation as needed regarding all aspects of therapy planning and delivery.


oOversee crisis intervention efforts and intervene as required.


oEngage in problem-solving for challenges in operations, as necessary.


oPromote the use of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent services.


oOrganize professional development and supervision plans for staff.


oAct as ACE Training Coordinator


oAct as SCM Trainer


oCollaborate often and regularly with the Operations Director of IBHS to ensure compliance with regulations and quality of care standards as well as organizational objectives and treatment protocols.


oComplete ongoing evaluation of clinical operations to ensure quality


  • Clinical development activities, such as: researching innovative program ideas and concepts; initiating program improvement ideas; networking with leaders in the field and in the community; searching for growth opportunities.
  • Internal boundary spanning, including: internal communications across all Folium programs and within the Behavioral Health division; facilitate a smooth and consistent flow of information; and share ideas within the operating division as well as among other business segments. Participate on the behavioral health division leadership team.
  • Develop cooperative relationships with community agencies that will facilitate treatment services provided to all clients
  • Employment, supervision and discharge of staff according to established personnel policies. Monitor engagement between Staff and Supervisors; clarifies roles and responsibilities; ensures completion of all team assignments and tasks; Ensure Clinical Supervision is completed as determined by the regulations, including frequency and modality

  • Develop cooperative relationships with community agencies that will facilitate treatment services provided to all clients;
  • Maintain an active valid driver's license issued by state in which they reside and must immediately notify their supervisor or Human Resources if their license is suspended or revoked for any reason.
  • Complete a portion of billable time as needed per program requirements.
  • May perform other special projects or duties as requested by the Operations Directors and/or Chief Operations Officer.
  • Candidate will have to successfully complete and maintain certification of ESPI training. ESPI techniques are only used in compliance with Folium policy and procedure and within guidelines established by third-party experts in the proper and legal use of ESPI.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth by attending all required meeting, trainings, and organizational trainings;
  • Assist the operations director in completing interviews, and complete new hire training/orientation as part of the onboarding process.
  • Responsible for a limited caseload based on census and program needs. Provide IBH Services according to individualized treatment plans and in accordance with professional standards.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of three years full-time post-graduate experience in the provision of mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults;
  • Certification as aBCBA
  • A graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum, from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the US Dept. of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Licensed in PA as MD, Phd, PsyD, LPC, LMFT, CRNP with MH Cert, or LCSW OR Licensed as BSL, LSW, or other PA License that includes the scope of practice overseeing the provision of IBHS;


Working Conditions


General office setting within the IBHS Office is the current base of operations for this position. When completing on site supervision and billable time, work setting may be a school, home, or community location. Clientele may at times be verbally or physically abusive.
