The Informatics Department provides a comprehensive support service to The Clinical Informatics Officer (Outpatients) role sits within the Informatics Department which has 4 key portfolios:

The Clinical Informatics Officer (Reporting) will be primarily responsible for the design, build, testing, configuration, installation and support of reporting requests and requirements placed by departments of the Women’s.

- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Your contribution
The Clinical Informatics Officer (Reporting) will be primarily responsible for the design, build, testing, configuration, installation and support of reporting requests and requirements placed by departments of the Women’s.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Support system configuration for EMR based reporting needs across disciplines and departments. This will involve both inpatient and outpatient reporting requirements including, but not limited to, ad hoc requests and legislated reporting requirements.
- Perform analysis of workflows, enhancement requests and other technical issues associated with the EMR and work with key stakeholder to develop functional and technical solutions that reflect an in-depth understanding of the user’s requirements.
- Deliver EMR communications and education to support the introduction of new build and reporting changes and EMR upgrades and other ongoing training needs.
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Experience in report design and implementation
- Epic Application Certification and/or equivalent experience (Highly desirable)
- Experience or knowledge of an EMR, eHealth system or other health care clinical applications
- A sound understanding of EMR functionality
- Ability to engage key stakeholders both clinical and non clinical to establish reporting requirement needs
- Demonstrated understanding of report writing, data analysis and data management tools
