Essential Functions
Demonstrate a basic understanding of scientific principles, biology
Ability to perform routine tasks accurately and efficiently.
Cell Culture and maintain cells using aseptic technique
Primary cell isolation from Human Tissue
Perform mathematical calculations routinely (e.g. viability, concentration and density)
Record information accurately into various electronic databases (e.g. raw and calculated data, inventory transfers, routing hours)
Review data, recognize and report inconsistencies to supervisor
Troubleshoot and think critically
Understand and apply good documentation practices consistently when documenting work
Perform miscellaneous / other duties as assigned and can work on call schedule.
Some weekend work required. (A team of 5-6 people are on call for 1 week per month). Contractor would be included. Overtime would range from 0-10 hours per week as needed. Hours may be adjusted during On call week.
Communicate effectively with supervisor to ensure expectations, progress, and results are clearly understood. Must be able to work well with a variety of scientists/technicians
Education
Bachelor's degree in scientific field required.
Experience/Requirements
Minimum of 1-3 years related experience.
Knowledge of Aseptic Technique
Cell Culture Experience Highly Preferred
Manufacturing Experience highly preferred
Must be customer focused, able to work under pressure
Anticipate needs and problems while creating solutions
Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a 'can do' attitude
Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures; written and verbal instruction, and to meet schedules required.
Able to work with business computer software with logistics related databases desired and ERP systems experience.
Strong organizational, record-keeping, and data analysis skills.
Monday-Friday: 8am-4;30pm Ideally, they would love to convert to FTE. However, it would depend on future need, attrition, performance, attendance, etc. No Guarantees.
