Job Description
The Clinic Manager under the supervision of the Tulane University Neurosciences Administrative Director and is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the clinic and assuring excellent patient experiences. The Clinic Manager is responsible and accountable for the day to day operations of the clinic, personnel management (clinical and clerical), staff training, financial management of an approximate $1.8M budget, professional fee billing activities, cash management, quality improvement activities, physician marketing activities, developing strong relationships with referring clinics, high-level reporting and analyses on all aspects of clinic operations and collections, and input on clinic strategic planning. The Neurosurgery and Neurology clinics in Covington currently have eight (8) neurosurgery and neurology providers, with plans for additional providers in the future. Clinics run concurrently, so multiple providers and patient flow must be managed appropriately. Incumbent is responsible for providing high level decision making in a patient centered environment, in order to manage daily functions, and enable continuous improvement within a team environment. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Excellent supervisory skills.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities including resolving complex problems requiring innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to enhance operations, productivity, and efficiency
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with multiple groups independently and concurrently
  • Ability to present oneself and one’s ideas with clarity, confidence and poise
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Required Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s Degree and five years operations and financial management experience in a healthcare setting
OR
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent and seven years’ operations and financial management experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications • More than five years’ clinic operations and financial management experience.
  • Surgical clinic operations experience.
