Job Description
Overview


Greets all visitors to the department, answers main incoming line, maintains files, inputs and retrieves information into data base, coordinates activities of the front office, and provides secretarial support.


Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions


  • Order all Office supplies, ensuring the department has everything needed on a bi monthly or monthly basis. Process any needed purchase orders for the department
  • Communicate and Business Coordinator and Director on any daily discrepancies.
  • Educate all cashiering responsibilities in include but not limited to policy training, occurrences, and follow- up training as needed.
  • Audit and compile all revenue for daily depositing to include cashier balancing.
  • Keep up with any data entry on a daily basis to keep reports accurate
  • Tracks and reconciles all payments made to the department by doctors, residents, and medical students as needed. Sends all billing out needed for the department by the 5 th of every month.
  • Oversees all deposits done within the department.
  • Records and Reconciles the daily, monthly, quarterly and year revenue reporting.
  • Prepares any external check requests needed
  • Runs all daily reporting needed.
  • Audits all sales within the department for accuracy on all daily basis. Replenishes all safes on a daily basis back to assigned amount for each area.
  • Prepares all worksheets needed within the department for financial recording purposes on a monthly basis
  • Any additional duties will explained as they occur.
  • Office duties are as follows, making copies, answering phones, disburse incoming mail, assisting managers, coordinators, and employees within the department.
  • Provide daily oversight for the cash and count areas in the office.


Qualifications


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required


Education/Licensure: Must have high school diploma or GED.


Experience: Prefer one year work experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Word processing and computer experience desirable.


Additional Skills/Abilities: : Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information. Skill in operating a computer, facsimile machine, and photocopy machine. Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
