Job Description
Description

Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical and general office assistance duties in a department of Town government. Is responsible for application of departmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations to routine and repetitive work. Reports to division supervisor or department Director.

In addition to the essential job functions the Code Compliance Division requires the following:
  • Incumbent must possess the ability to comprehend technical assignments related to Town of Davie Code of Ordinances and Florida Statutes.
  • May attend special magistrate hearings as back up for board secretary and assist with document preparation post-meeting.
  • Administrative functions are performed in support of Code Compliance Clerical duties include but are not limited to the preparation of mailings for Code cases, Magistrate cases and agenda; fulfills lien searches and public records requests, public records management of complaints, notices and all record retention.
  • Position requires interaction with the general public and delivery of effective customer service.

Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

Graduation from High School or GED equivalent and clerical experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
