Job Description
THE POSITION


The Department of Corrections , State Correctional Institute (SCI) at Camp Hill is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK


As a Clerical Assistant 2 you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution. You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments within the institution, operate office equipment and maintaining computer databases and records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
  • Work hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.
  • Full-time employment; 37.5 hours/week.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $32,978 (before taxes).


Required Experience, Training & Eligibility


QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
Additional Requirements:


  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation.
