  • Ability to read and interpret data.
  • Provide general support to adjusters for numerous functions. 1%
  • Excellent phone call handling skills.
  • Run wage statements for adjusters. 1%
  • Approve all new vendors and make vendor address changes. 5%
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft office programs and ability to type 40 wpm.
  • Sort, index and determine path for medical bills in question. 1%
  • Answer the Risk Management toll free phone line, return and transfer telephone calls to appropriate parties. Answer questions from claimants and providers. 30%
  • Minimal clerical experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Originate claims in the claims management system, claims set up. 40%
  • Customer service oriented and works well in a team environment.
  • File state reports (First report of injuries {FROI’s}), EDI. 15%
  • Communicate new claims to our TPA where appropriate. 2%
  • Pick up and sort department checks three times per week. 5%
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Comp and/or General Liability a plus.
  • Ability to handle confrontational situations in a mature and professional manner.


Education Requirements


High school graduate. College degree preferred.
