Civil Supervisors - Beaumont, Tx

Turner Industries Group, L.L.C. is looking for experienced Civil Supervisors for jobs in Beaumont, Texas.

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Civil Supervisor or equivalent combinations or training and related experience

General

Exercise independent judgment and supervises and directs a group of workers engaged chiefly in one occupation. On certain projects a supervisor may perform similar duties supervising workers engaged in several occupations.

Functional Requirements

Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements project safety programs; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job; may make cost estimates for contracts; performs additional assignments as required.

Physical/Mental Involvement

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting a single object of 30-55 lbs. from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, etc.; standing; sitting; twisting at all directions; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
