Job Description
Overview:
The Civil Engineer’s primary duty is to execute and engineer the Civil Engineering aspects of various construction projects, from site identification to finish, ensuring that studies, designs and layouts are timely and accurate. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

Qualifications:
The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • 2+ years of Civil Engineering experience preferred
  • Licensed P.E. or EIT (Civil) required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must

Responsibilities:
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
  • Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline
  • Inspects completed work for adherence to standards and designs
  • Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Leads and participates in the design and planning of assigned structures, facilities, and systems
  • Oversees contract negotiations, revisions, and additions and adherence by all parties
  • Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction
  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects. local and state governments, or other involved parties; develops detailed description of work necessary to complete project
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, local authorities and subcontract engineers
