What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join the Texas team and contribute to a variety of Land Development, Site Design, Roadway/Transportation, and many more projects on our 2,500+ acre site. What You’ll Do

• Define and plan project work scope, schedules, budget, and resource requirements
• Promote and protect Tesla’s reputation as a cutting-edge company producing the world’s most exciting cars and shifting the paradigm of personal transportation worldwide
• Independently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations
• Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phases
• Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team members
• Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi-disciplinary coordination

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in heavy infrastructure and transportation design
• Experience in transportation and traffic analysis from local to regional scales
• 3-5 yrs of hands-on experience building high-tech/industrial infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)
• Operational construction Site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavement, sewer, storm drainage, water, erosion and sediment control, and traffic plans
• Additional European or Asian language a plus Experience in jurisdictions local to Tesla factory sites, including Gigafactory 1, Fremont, and Buffalo
• Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion
• Demonstrates an "outside the box" problem solving approach; develop alternative and innovative design solutions
• Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design Ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelines
• Ability to communicate clearly and interface at an executive level within a diverse team
• Experience in project sites with multi-users and modes of transportation
• Experience in civil engineering design, stormwater management plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and manufacturing
• Desire to do the impossible with a positive and professional "never say die" attitude
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Registered and in good standing as a Professional Engineer (PE) and able to acquire their PE in TX within three months
• Excellent written and spoken English.
