Civil Engineer Jobs

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating an engineering plan for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined. Civil Engineers will communicate directly with clients, subcontractors, utilities, municipalities and design team as the project requires.

Responsibilities

• Successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to be self-directed; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to meet budgets and schedules; and willingness to learn and teach.
• Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application
• Develop diagrams and visual aids and prepare design specifications
• Civil site development including: grading, storm drainage, roads, utility layout and design, and applicable regulations and permitting
• Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements
• Research regulatory requirements and design standards

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
• Experience with AutoCAD
