Job Description
Position Summary


The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will provide executive leadership to the teams responsible for business operations. This includes, but is not limited to, technical integrations, support desk, project management, subject matter experts, and RFP development. The Chief Operations Officer also functions as top-level contact to assist end users in determining technical requirements and solutions and is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of all IT services related to infrastructure and operational support.


Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)


  • Coordinate internal and external development work to deliver approved technology projects and service requests for the business.
  • Cultivate an environment where team members build understanding, model respect, and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices. Follow corporate performance management program and support an open-door policy.
  • Effectively forecast and articulate resource needs.
  • Oversee development of technical policy and standards and ensures adherence to them for product development and company operations.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement business strategies, plans, and practices. Build support for initiatives among all levels of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure all systems development initiatives follow approved Project/Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Conduct and support assessment and mapping of operating/business policies, procedures and controls against the requirements of CyncHealth’s mission, vision, values and objectives.
  • Conduct assessments and stress testing (in collaboration with CyncHealth leadership) on the effectiveness of policies, procedures and controls. Drive a consistent approach and methodology and measure effectiveness on areas of highest priority. Conduct assessments on the efficiency of standards & controls, including the integration into broader business processes and the link between consistent execution of standards & controls and related business performance.
  • Support and work directly with the CEO and executive leaders on various initiatives in coordination across stakeholder groups to ensure sustainable integration with CyncHealth mission, vision, values.
  • Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives. Engage key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives and support associate efforts in these areas.
  • Oversee business operations including integrations, support desk, subject matter experts, and RFP development.
  • Develop, implement, and utilize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that impact department initiatives.
  • Model CyncHealth’s values and Code of Conduct. Manage resources and business objectives in compliance with charter, policies, and standards.
  • Lead and manage a team, including responsibility for planning and managing work priorities, performance of duties, achievement of initiatives, and budgeting, and provides direction and directives to direct reports. Provide regular and ongoing feedback, including conducting Start/Stop/Continue conversations with direct reports.
  • Oversee vendor/supplier contract performance and communicate with clinical/technical SMEs.
  • Ensure that activities operate according to internal and external standards, and legal requirements.
  • Direct all activities surrounding the selection, purchase, development, installation and maintenance of all related software and hardware.
  • Provide oversight to business line SMEs to develop and implement enterprise policies, procedures and controls, drafting of relevant documents and standards. Support the SMEs on compliance management system/maturity assessments, internal audit review and response, and standards & controls related action plans in response to audits, assessments, and monitoring.
  • Analyze costs and complete budget forecasting to inform strategic planning, determine resource requirements, evaluate operational processes, measure outcomes, and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Protect assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with other leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support the integration of standards & controls into broader business processes (effective and efficient) to ensure mission success. Collaborate across CyncHealth teams to ensure that standards & controls are mapped to training & programs, contracts, and operational goals established by organizational governance.
  • Hire, motivate and retain top quality team members.


Experience


  • Advanced analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate politically sensitive discussions, use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with and influence all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience and knowledge of best practices related to IT service delivery management.
  • Advanced written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in all levels of project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with technology architecture strategy.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • 5 years’ experience in a senior technology position.
  • Ability to synthesize information from several different sources into logical and actionable observations and recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment with the desire to build an organization from the ground up.


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Extended working hours and overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
