Job Description

Are you a fitness enthusiast? Are you social media savvy? Would you like to travel globally? Do you desire to be the Chief Operating Officer for Alphalete in Missouri City, TX? If the answer is yes, this might be the job for you.


Experience:

  • Fluency with metrics-based assessment of operational performance
  • Strong qualitative, quantitative, and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and use information and data to set goals and priorities, make decisions and measure performance, while considering competing priorities and other perspectives within and outside the organization
  • Ten (10) or more years of leadership experience, growing and leading teams through organizational change and transformation
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience achieving results in a consumer-driven retail organization, with a focus on retail and online market expansion
  • Experience and knowledge related to customer experience and service
  • Extensive cross-department organizational leadership, with extensive financial management and project management experience


Essential Job Duties:

  • Increase sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations
  • Hire, manage, coach, and develop a marketing team
  • Ensures revenue and profitability targets are achieved in all business units


Operational Strategy

  • Develop, oversee, and execute the long-term strategic plan for the organization and annually present an updated plan/strategy.
  • Develop a broad and deep knowledge of the organization’s core businesses, and nurture a structure for empowered decision-making across teams
  • Establish operational effectiveness across all departments and business units to achieve the company’s financial goals.
  • Translates strategic initiatives into actions to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets


Operations Budget & Reporting

  • Establish operational KPIs and report on a routine basis, highlighting any anomalies (good or bad) and recommend a plan to enhance or correct issues
  • Maintain approved operations budget and monitor for adherence, recommending adjustments (and gaining approval) throughout the year; actively seek out cost savings company-wide but especially by collaborating with the CMO, CFO, and Logistics Director
  • Develop, recommend, and install an annual operations budget to ensure revenue goals are achieved


Operations Execution

  • Maintain efficient daily operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures; develop, revise, and implement workflow and productivity parameters
  • Develop processes that ensure the organization runs smoothly and establish an environment that promotes teamwork across the diverse aspects of the organization’s functions
  • Attend conferences, sessions, and seminars to stay up to date with changing operational trends
  • Collaborating with the CEO, CMO, and other key executives, ensure quality improvement, staff empowerment, customer satisfaction, and market competitiveness of products and services


Operational Compliance

  • Develops and implements policies that assures all regulatory requirements are met (e.g. food handling, health & safety, sales & use tax, real estate regulations, etc.)


Alphaland Operations & Real Estate

  • Review, manage, and maintain agreements with various vendors to ensure construction projects remain within budget and are completed on time
  • Ensure all Alphaland facilities are maintained appropriately, free from potential hazards for employees, consumers, and members
  • Ensure AlphaEats meets all health, safety, and food regulations and routinely monitors adherence to cleanliness and safety standards
  • Establish and review benchmark metrics against which all property management employees and vendors are evaluated
  • Collaborating with the Alphaland Property Manager, identify, leverage, and ensure optimal use of all Alphaland facilities
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance, security, and janitorial services are meeting or exceeding building operational standards


Logistics

  • Establish and review benchmark metrics against which logistics performance is evaluated
  • Collaborating with the Logistics Director, ensures all products are ordered, shipped, and received on budget and in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with the CMO and customer service affiliates ensures the consumer purchasing and return experience is positive, targeting an NPS score of 70 or better
  • Actively seeks out opportunities to cut costs on products while maintaining or improving overall product quality


Agreements / Contracts

  • Review and approve all agreements and contracts to ensure alignment with company financial, revenue, and profitability targets, and protects the company from unforeseen risks
  • Identify, select, manage, and negotiate contracts with various operational vendors such as technology providers, office equipment vendors, shipping / receiving / distribution vendors, and real estate vendors and manage ongoing relationships


Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related studies and/or a combination of education and relevant experience. Advanced degree in business (MBA) strongly preferred.
