Job Description

FedPoint, is a versatile, growing administrator of large-scale insurance and benefits programs. Located in Portsmouth NH, we are a 450+ employee company with a strong employee-centered culture. The majority of staff are eligible to work a hybrid work schedule, allowing for telework of 2-3 days per week. FedPoint does not subsidize travel to facilitate onsite work.

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to expand our technology footprint at FedPoint. The CIO will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of FedPoint’s evolving technology infrastructure, software development and quality, user experience, and all facets of our digital strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and implementation of technology policies and procedures
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve business efficiency/scalability, technology
  • Ensure the Company’s technology is secure and reliable and that appropriate measures are in place to protect the Company’s data and systems. This encompasses Identifying and actively managing technology risks and develop and lead measures to mitigate them working alongside FedPoint’s CISO.
  • Develop and execute FedPoint’s technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals and service objectives.
  • Manage and direct the IT team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services to the organization.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of all software applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure that technology is being used effectively to support the organization’s operations and business objectives.
  • Manage a broad set of vendors and software contracts which help FedPoint facilitate its objectives
  • Remain abreast of emerging technologies that affect FedPoint’s opportunities to improve competitiveness and provide recommendations and business cases to Senior Management on their potential impact on the business.

Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • Successful implementation of IT and business strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Participation and Leadership in cloud migration, preferably with AWS
  • Strategic thinking to ensure our technical solutions are appropriate for the direction of the business (short and long-term)
  • Deep knowledge of both infrastructure and systems development areas
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technology leadership roles
  • Excellent communication skills including good influence and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with cyber-security regulations and the larger ecosystem in which data resides; CISSP, ISO, or other credentials a plus.
  • Strong and demonstrated understanding of emerging technologies, including cloud computing and cloud migration strategies, and data analytics.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business growth and efficiency.
