WHAT WE OFFER
Our Powder Coating Resins facility is a small production facility of less than 40 personnel that is co-located on a site with two other chemical production facilities. It is dependent on one of these facilities for utilities and administrative support services. It also uses a shared outside contractor on site for maintenance and general labor services.
This plant operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It uses up to three batch-production process units in a 24/7 operational format that requires Shift Supervisors, senior operators and area process controllers (also known as Chemical Operators) to work in small teams. A supervised shift is on duty at all times. Area Process Controllers (APCs) work twelve-hour rotating shift schedules and report to the Production Manager.
This role operates and controls the process of an assigned area in a safe and efficient manner consistent with the operating, housekeeping and safety philosophies and procedures, and in support of Operational Excellence goals.

WHAT YOU OFFER
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School graduate required with a high mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pumps, valves, and related gauges.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Chemical operating experience in a continuous-process chemical manufacturing plant preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiently use computer software packages including MS Word/Excel/ Windows, Internet Explorer, etc.
  • Work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision and display good oral and written communication skills
  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts and available to work fair share of scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed
  • Adjust to large volumes of work occurring during shutdowns or crisis.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, work at heights as much as 300 feet above ground, wear protective breathing equipment and clothing for extended periods of time as needed
  • Visualize, comprehend, and communicate the process and equipment based on information from control room gauges, instruments, and computer terminals
  • Day APC’s must be proficient to advanced level users.
  • Recognize problems and make quick and correct decisions when problems occur
  • Learn and apply from memory operational and safety process, equipment, and procedural information such as plant shutdown, start up and operating procedures
