Job Title: Category Strategist – Seasons (Hol/Eas)

Summary


Responsible for working as Holistic Seasonal Advisor to Target Divisional Operating Model. Inclusive of, but not limited to, Target Buying, Divisional Planning, Merchandise Planning, Space and Presentation, Site Merch, and Inventory Management Teams. As well as internal Hershey cross functional teams to drive consistent topline/net sales growth, increase digital penetration, and achieve share targets. Assesses trends, analyzes data, and the digital spectrum and identifies key customer opportunities consistent with shopper and PnL strategies. Acts as the Category/Customer Expert in co-creating holistic strategic business plans. Uses insights to drive customers to act in the best interest of the category.


Responsibilities


  • Drive best in class Digital Seasonal Execution with Target Site Merch Team to influence search navigation, Item Attribution, Digital Shelf Architecture, and Digital Cross Shop opportunities.
  • Continue to expand scope of influence within Target Divisional Operation Model to drive more influence and seasonal excellence to include store level execution.
  • Partner with Hershey Shopper Insights to build out a learning plan to influence seasonal execution through the Target Shopper Lens.
  • Create efficiencies across the seasonal planning process, to include managing our Manilla Team during planogram versioning.
  • Guides & Consults Target Divisional Operating Model with Insights & Recommendations for the Seasonal Process: Directing the Buy Model, Comprehensive Category Reviews, Digital Comp Shops & Adjacency Planning, Planogram Versioning, and Pricing Strategy.
  • Acts as the Category Expert to ensure the execution of Targets Seasonal Business to make topline sales plan, net sales goals, digital penetration goals and achieve share targets. This includes using Target Internal Data, as well as the Category Management Toolkit to ensure the execution of the strategic business plan. Effectively utilize the company's analytical tools and processes to ensure corporate objectives are met.
  • In season tracking, uncovering areas of concern and activating solutions with Hershey and Target Teams.
  • Work with Hershey’s ReSET Team to draw on Gold Standard Practices and influence Target to incorporate strategies to drive share growth and best in class Seasonal Execution.


Minimum Requirements:


  • 5 years of Consumer Product Sales/ Analytical Experience Preferred
  • Technical Skills, Analysis & Problem Assessment
  • Proven abilities in the art of capturing the audience through Storytelling
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Ability to build dynamic relationships with the customer across business units
  • Team player who will work across desks during crunch times
  • Experience in JDA Space Management
