JOB TITLE: Public Area Casino Porter

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Public Area Casino Porter cleans and services assigned area(s) according to standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests. They adhere to all departmental and company policies/procedures and safety regulations.

JOB FOCUS:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

• Handles and disposes of biohazard material in accordance with OSHA. (Training will be provided)
• Always uses the correct cleaning chemicals for designated areas/surfaces, according to OSHA and management requirements
• Regularly maintain the cleanliness of all casino areas, all front of house, pool, spa/fitness, retail, restaurants, night clubs, exterior building, hotel entrances, garage, all back of house/offices, and or any area assigned by management
• Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies, services, procedures and standards
• Continuously maintain the cleanliness “sanitization” of all public area restrooms
• Maintain the cleanliness of items such as trash cans, windows, doors and mirrors as well as elevators, floors, furniture, and fixtures
• Replenishes supplies in the casino area and other work areas as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
• General; Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish of all assigned areas
• Ensure all décor, furniture and fixtures are in their correct location at all times

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate in English in both verbal and written forms is required
• Excellent communication skills with a willingness to assist any guest or fellow co-worker in need
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi task as necessary
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Preferred experience in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel
• Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience within the Hospitality industry in a similar role or position
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including day, night, swing, weekends and Holidays
• Must have extreme attention to detail
• Open availability
• Proven ability as an outgoing, energetic and approachable employee.
• Ability to follow through and carry out all assigned duties
