Job Summary: This case worker assistant position is located at 4019 Manchaca Road within the Alameda House program. This position serves all clients housed at this facility. The primary purpose of the position is to supervise residents in order to maintain appropriate structure and safety with some ability to perform rehabilitative client care work, assisting mentally ill adults with daily personal care routines. Position requires staff to monitor clients, enforce facility rules, manage client behaviors, de-escalate clients who are upset, intervene in crises, engage clients in social and developmental activities. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Required

License:

• Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience

Required:

• Basic computer word processing/data entry abilities
• Minimum of 6-9 months working with persons with mental health diagnosis (and/or other disorders specific to the unit's population), preferably in residential settings.

Preferred

• Experience in care of clients and residential environment preferred.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workhours: 7am-3pm, 3-11pm (5days/8hrs) or 7am-3pm, 3PM-11pm (5dys/8hrs), 7am-5pm, 3PM-11pm (4dys/20hrs)

Workdays: Can Vary; Wednesday -Sunday, Thursday-Sunday.

Salary: $20.02 an hour.
