Carpentry Laborer Jobs

Employees who serve in the carpentry laborer position assist with job site tasks assigned by the Construction Supervisor as they pertain to carpentry and construction duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create material lists as needed
• Desire to learn new skills
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work
• Framing of walls, ceilings, and roofs on commercial and residential structures

Essential Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

• Physical strength and endurance
• Hand-eye coordination
• Self-motivated and want to produce your best work with a positive team attitude
• Full compliment of hand tools used in framing and finish
• Ability to use necessary tools and machinery
• Concentration on tasks
• Portray integrity to do what is right and accepting the responsibility for your actions
• Know how to install fixtures and fittings, such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
• Ability to understand and communicate well

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of machinery and tools used in the construction industry ad know how to use them safely
• Experience framing walls, ceilings, and roofs
• Minimum of 10 years' experience of carpentry, framing and setting finish
