ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enables Clients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording Client condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.
  • Helps Transition to New Environment
  • Reminds Clients of their medication
  • Accompanies Clients to Doctor Visits
  • Helps family members care for the Client by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the Client.
  • Assists with socialization and activities
  • Offers one-on-one conversation
  • Assists with Daily Living Activities
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy Client environment by following asepsis standards and procedures, maintaining security precautions, and following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.
  • Helps Clients care for themselves by teaching the use of a cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques, and equipment for personal hygiene.
  • Encourages Engagement
  • Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Escorts to Facility Activity or outside for some fresh air
  • Provide Clients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or automobiles, and with dressing and grooming.
  • Entertain, converse with or read aloud to Clients to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
  • Supports Clients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household supplies, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
  • Supports Family Through Changing Behaviors
  • Assists with calling a taxi or transportation
  • Maintain records of Client care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or case manager.
  • Assists with Exercise Plan
  • Records Client information by making entries in the Client journal and notifying the Home Care Director of changing or unusual conditions.
  • Assists Clients by providing personal services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Maintains a Safe Environment
  • Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Change bed linens, wash and iron Clients' laundry, and clean Clients' quarters.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Ensures Compliance with Safety Precautions
  • Monitors Client condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
  • Advises on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
  • Provides bedside companionship and comfort
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Registered on the Home Care Aide Registry (If not, we can provide guidance)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Reliable transportation
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid in-state driver’s license
  • TB test
Note: A background check and DMV record clearance will be conducted.
