Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.


Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Job Title: Care Manager Supervisor, Child & Youth


JOB SUMMARY: Provide leadership, supervision, and support to a team of assigned staff that are providing services to consumers enrolled in Tennessee Health Link.


Responsibilities


  • Promptly address team concerns and work to obtain resolution.
  • Responsible for on-site consulting with Office Coordinator, Program Manager, and Care Managers as needed or assigned.
  • Coordinate prompt assignments of consumers to care managers and ensure appropriate contact.
  • Conduct planning sessions and meetings with team as required by the Agency and as needed.
  • Provide support and consultation for care managers with consumers in crisis situations
  • Ensure program protocols/policies and procedures are carried out.
  • Supervise care management teams and provide appropriate clinical and administrative recommendation.


Essential Skills And Experience


  • Bachelor's level in a health-related field with a minimum of 6 months care management team leader experience or 1+ years of care management tier experience.
  • Experience in a mental health setting preferred.
  • Master's degree (M.A., M.S.) in a health-related field.

About You


  • Initiative to address issues quickly and develop action plans to resolve issues
  • Bachelor's degree in health-related field of counseling, psychology, social work or other behavioral health field.
  • Strong communication skills to build effective teams through coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to lead by example by fostering collaboration across the Care Management department
  • Prior experience leading and motivating others to meet performance goals
  • Ability to understand and leverage data to solve problems with effective solutions
  • Flexible to changing priorities and needs, especially during crisis
  • Dependable to both consumers and team members
