Job Description
The Converse College for Women (CCW) Campus Engagement Coordinator is an integral component of the CCW and requires a driven, high-energy individual who is dedicated to the professional and leadership development of CCW students and to delivering the programs, events, and traditions vital to the historic heart of Converse University, the CCW. The CCW Coordinator will interface with Converse alumnae, faculty and staff, prospective students, and current students at on and off-campus events, and will serve as liaison for the CCW to key areas on campus, including Admissions, Alumni Relations, Student Life, Diversity & Inclusion, Athletics, and Career Development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: CCW Management: 40% Work closely with and serve as a thought partner to the Dean of the CCW to deliver a vibrant, strong College for Women that engages students and contributes to a dynamic overall campus culture for Converse Manage and delegate reasonable tasks to the CCW Work Study student worker and CCW student intern Manage and guide the CCW Council representatives by leading bi-weekly meetings and setting clear goals and tasks for student leaders such as the management of CCW social media channels Create leadership training opportunities for CCW Council representatives Manage Big Sis/Little Sis programming each fall Manage CCW Council elections each spring Track budget expenses and help facilitate the successful execution of CCW programming and events and stewardship of CCW resources Aid in maintaining CCW primary spaces such as reporting any necessary repairs or needs in the CCW Commons Student Lounge space and Pell Hall's main lobby spaces Internal Campus Engagement: 25% Market and promote CCW signature programming, events, and traditions Aid in the planning of and make arrangements for CCW events, programs, and traditions including event set-up, necessary work orders, and catering orders Partner with and serve as a CCW liaison to key areas on campus such as but not limited to Faculty, Staff, Student Life, Athletics, Student Activities, and Communications Work with the Community Advisors and Residence Director of Pell Hall-the on-campus home of all CCW first-year students to align programming and community goals with the larger CCW Coordinate tracking of CCW student engagement, including attendance at CCW programming and events Recruitment: 20% Communicate regularly with the Admissions team to deliver a cohesive CCW recruiting plan, including CCW call nights and consistent communication with prospective CCW students Attend and help lead Admissions events at which CCW maintains a presence, including but not limited to Open House events, Accepted Students Day, Valkyrie Vision Days, etc. Communicate regularly with the Director of Alumni Relations to ensure CCW alumni are informed and welcomed to programs and events on campus Partner with Career Development and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to create strong programming that supports the professional development of CCW students and fosters an inclusive community within the CCW Partner with and serve as a CCW liaison to key areas on campus such as but not limited to Faculty, Staff, Student Life, Athletics, Student Activities, and Communications Work with the Community Advisors and Residence Director of Pell Hall-the on-campus home of all CCW first-year students to align programming and community goals with the larger CCW Coordinate tracking of CCW student engagement, including attendance at CCW programming and events External Off-Campus Engagement: 15% Build off-campus partnerships with area corporations and non-profit organizations to create employment, internship, and mentorship opportunities for CCW students All other reasonable duties assigned by the Dean of the CCW JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Highly driven, organized, and committed team member needed who can deliver the CCW events, programs, traditions, and development of CCW student leaders with consistency and excellence. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required; Master's or higher graduate degree preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Past experience as a student or staff member of a Women's College preferred. At least one full year of experience working in a college or university setting preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite. Strong interpersonal communication skills, strong presentation skills, organization and ability to prioritize tasks, and ability to work independently. GUIDELINES AND SUPERVISION: Must be able to work independently with the ability to use discretion and judgment.
