Job Description

The Cal Football Gameday Producer will coordinate, supervise, and execute multiple aspects of a live
production for football home events, which includes the execution of creative, administrative, and
operational aspects of a live event or broadcast. Live productions include live digital broadcasts and in-
stadium video board live productions. This position is part-time and compensated per event that
includes all 6 home football games and Thursday walkthrough sessions.
  • Coordinates with multiple Cal Athletics departments and gameday staff members to fulfill all sponsorship, marketing, and promotional needs in advance of the assigned video board shows.
  • Coordinates and executes event-based elements and sponsorships on the football video boards, ribbon boards, LEDS’s and concourse TVs in California Memorial Stadium.
  • Analyzes the efficiency of the functions in all areas of live production and broadcasts, making recommendations for improvements to the CMO
  • Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Pac 12 regulations in the performance of job duties.
  • Able to work all 6 of Cal’s home football games
  • Serves as the primary gameday producer for Cal football home games; including but not limited to headset communication, coordinating props, staging, talent management, and player coordination
  • Collaborates with various other individuals during the show, including but not limited to the following positions: marketing, on field game producer, technical director, camera operators, graphics producer, replay operators and engineering staff.
  • Must attend weekly walkthrough meetings held the Thursday prior to each home football game
  • Provides instruction and feedback during shows, as well as detailed video reviews immediately after the event and the following week.
  • Manage scripted elements that involve being able to energize the crowd during key moments

Qualifications
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities during a single event and under time constraints.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working in live sporting events
