Responsible for executing and maintaining Purchase to pay process for assigned parts/suppliers
Send out Request for quotes to suppliers and compare quotes for Total Cost of Ownership.
Convert Purchase requisitions in to Purchase orders.
Confirm delivery of POs from suppliers.
Expedite parts with suppliers to ensure on time delivery performance.
Resolve invoicing issues.
Support with onboarding of new suppliers.
Work with warehouse and receiving to prioritize delivery of material to production floor.
Support supply chain manager in process improvement projects.
Promote Lean concepts as applicable to supply chain management processes.
Utilize Power BI/Tableau to analyze purchasing data to drive savings and improvements.
Support purchasing KPIs.
Other Responsibilities As Assigned.
This individual will work with both internal partners as well as suppliers and required to communicate effectively within and outside the organization.
Candidate will work with a Mentor within the team but won't supervise any resources.
We are flexible for a person who has the right experience but not necessarily a specific education.

1 role currently open and there may possibly be a second opening soon.
Team consists of 6 buyers.
Not a remote position, must be in-person until the person can operate on their own, which roughly takes about 5 months.
Then they can work from home.
Then the schedule will change 3 days in office and 2 from home.
Schedule is flexible due to Houston traffic -- HM prefers someone to come early to sit with team members and learn from them.
Education Requirement: Supply/Demand degree or anyone with a similar background as the current role.
The interview process will be via video, followed up by one more video interview.
