Moog is looking for a Planner Buyer to join our purchasing team. You will coordinate and place Purchase Orders for a designated group of Suppliers in support of the Military Value Stream. Your responsibilities will include contracts administration and coordinating with the strategic sourcing and regional supply chain teams. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and have a hybrid work schedule in Torrance, CA (2-3 days per week in the office).

As a Buyer Planner, you will…
  • Maintain part planning parameters following the agreed materials plan input as well as the suppliers latest planning information such as lead time etc.
  • Convert demand signals into Purchase Orders (PO), observing contractual terms and conditions and Moog processes.
  • Communicate with Supplier Lead in the region to obtain delivery commitments and provide the site with up-to-date information.
  • Co-ordinate and feedback site operational requirements to regional supply chain team.
  • Communicate and influence internal site functions such as Goods Inwards and Receiving Inspection (RI) to ensure parts are delivered to point of use
  • Coordination and support for supplier non-conformance and return to vendor (RTV)
  • Coordinate between Site and Regional supply chain to resolve issues such as Delivery/Quality/paperwork discrepancies
  • Coordinate with strategic sourcing to ensure contractual terms and conditions are operationalized into the integrated planning and placement processes.
  • Coordinate with strategic sourcing to identify and resolve deviations to contractual terms and conditions.

Minimum Qualifications…
One of the following combinations of education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of supply chain, purchasing, or materials planning experience (aerospace is desirable)
  • OR AA/AS Degree with 7+ years of supply chain, purchasing, or materials planning experience (aerospace is desirable)
  • OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of supply chain, purchasing, or materials planning experience (aerospace is desirable)

This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.

Salary range:
California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $87,000 - $115,000, annually
