Job Summary

We're seeking energetic Purchaser to assist the team with daily functions that will support many facets of the company. The ideal candidate will be punctual, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and willing to flex into a new role at any given moment.

Duties/Responsibilities

Compiles and maintains information and records to prepare purchase orders

Edits purchase requests and prepares purchase orders

Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications

Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries.

Performs related clerical duties

May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations, and follow up on outstanding purchase orders

Required Skills/Abilities

Mathematical skills:

Oral and written communication skills

Organizational skills

Experience and Education

Performs work under direct supervision

Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff

Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter

Typically requires a high school diploma

0 to 2 years of experience

Physical Requirements

This position requires a great deal of sitting, walking, bending, and reaching

Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift objects on a regular basis, and perform daily repetitive tasks

This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut/manipulate small objects

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at time

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities

Salary

$17 - $20 USD per hour
