We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our diverse and inclusive team to help define system scope, streamline processes, and maximize the benefit of our IT system investments.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will collaborate with product owners, decision-makers, system owners, and end-users to define business and operational requirements. Your strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be crucial in identifying opportunities for improvement and in implementing solutions that drive business value.

What you will do:
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable system requirements, including developing epics and user stories.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and return on investment analyses to support informed decision-making on system implementation.
  • Partner with product owners and development teams to design and implement innovative features that deliver tangible business value, following agile principles.
  • Deliver end-user training and offer ongoing support for modified and new systems.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops and sprint planning sessions with the development team and users to refine business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Assess existing systems for efficiency and effectiveness, and propose strategies for improvement and optimization.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation, including system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts.

While the following attributes are not required, they are highly desirable:
  • Practical knowledge of importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
  • Experience working on agile project teams.
  • Experience with core software applications, including insurance claims, underwriting, and accounting (preferred).
  • Familiarity with software and hardware solutions, systems, or product design, development, and implementation using agile approaches.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business system requirements and user stories.

Tools and languages we use: Jira, Microsoft Office suite (including Visio), SQL.
