Job Description
We are the team that enables customers to purchase insurance policies direct online. We support our marketing initiatives by delivering personalized customer experiences and we support our back office by creating efficiencies and continual improvement around their processes. While we started on this journey five years ago under the stable Berkshire Hathaway, we have not lost our touch with agility or the startup culture.We are looking for a business analyst interested in working in a dynamic, fast paced organization.

As a business analyst on our team, you will be supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of our software product’s features. In this role, you will be an integral team with outstanding communication, collaboration, and attention to detail. You will be counted on to write clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements and operate as a vital link between the application development team and the business owners.

Job Responsibilities
  • Participate and contribute in design, requirements engineering, scrum execution, and technical discussions
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback on requirements, specifications, technical design documents, and testing results
  • Develop strong partnerships with business teams and other groups
  • Write clear, concise, and comprehensive business and reporting requirements using our current technology stack
  • Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration
  • Collaborate with internal and communicate key insights and findings to the appropriate individuals
  • Deliver the required capabilities per biBERK standards
  • Identify, design, document, and maintain system processes

Preferred Knowledge
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ Years of proven experience as a business analyst
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Business/Related field or equivalent working experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise with SQL and other query languages
  • Experience with gathering and documenting thorough business requirements and user acceptance criteria
  • Commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration capabilities, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of generating process documentation
