Business PM role mainly, Preferred certification SAFe. Manager will be okay if they have SCRUM or PMP certifications as well.

Preferred Level of Education: Bachelor's degree in health care, business administration, or related field OR four (4) years of experience in a healthcare administration or a directly related field. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate? Minimum three (3) years of project management experience

Specific Systems Knowledge Required: Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, MS Project (or similar project management software), Outlook

Specific Systems Knowledge Preferred: Familiarity with JIRA and experience using MURAL or other visual collaboration tools

Description

The Project Manager is responsible for supporting a large-scale program associated with strategic business issues and opportunities within the Sales and Account Management discipline within Kaiser Permanente. The Project Manager may manage specific aspects of one or more programs, or multiple aspects of a single program within the organization, maintaining a tactical focus on managing deliverables in an agile project management methodology. This job family is intended for use in non-clinical/non-hospital settings. Must complete panel interview with PM council members and hiring manager.

Essential Functions:

Support small to midsize work streams of a large program and will likely support multiple aspects of a single program within the organization.

Monitor and manage work and deliverables at the Sprint level for each Program Increment (PI)

Support the facilitation, preparation, and coordination of program meetings (i.e., create agendas, capture objectives, meeting minutes, track actions and decisions, etc.)

Manage risks, action items, issues, and decision log (RAID/IRAD) and communicate with program leaders when mitigation tactics/strategies need to be employed to circumvent program risk.

Receive direction from program manager(s) and apply critical thinking with ability to plan own workload, prioritizing key tasks and ensuring the appropriate allocation of time and effort are applied to achieve the required results.

Create and report on project status using program-level dashboard

Break down the program elements into manageable and achievable tasks/activities and create a logical plan (e.g. work plan, storyboard) for an activity or program segment.

Understand the contributing factors of business value for programs and KP.

Learn from mistakes and do not repeat them; show interest in improving work.

Proactively seek to understand interdependencies by asking questions that clarify complex or ambiguous issues.

Proactively identify, address, and keep program leads abreast of potential scope or quality issues.

Understand the program's strategic goals and how these goals fit with KP''s overall success.

Posses excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to senior audiences

Posses analytical skills with ability to synthesize data and distill findings into understandable and meaningful metrics

Identify limitations of approach for analyzing or addressing a problem/situation.

Accurately identify/recognize change barriers or change issues and escalate to appropriate program leadership.

Support the development of client and internal presentations while working with the program leads to clarify client needs.

Put forward ideas assertively and directly, providing data to support conclusions.

Understand how individual performance and attributes contribute to program success.

Use internal and external knowledge resources to build skills.

Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility and working knowledge of another function.
