About the Role
The Business Intelligence Developer works within the centralized data and analytics department to create and support interactive reporting products that support critical operational and strategic business needs. This role works independently and as part of a team on low-to-medium complex code, traditional, and visualization-based reporting products. The BI Report Developer also supports business users with product questions, issues, and enhancement requests.


This team is part of the overall Data and Analytics Department which is carrying out and supporting the overall Data Strategy goals for the company. Our Data and Analytics Department is in a period of high investment of both new and existing resources and personnel. They are helping to provide Operators and Executive Teams with better insight into our business. This position is part of our Data and Analytics Department at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO and is currently available for remote work in the United States. Responsibilities:

  • Implements security solutions for low-to-moderately complex projects
  • Provides support, implementation planning, communication, and execution on reporting product rollouts
  • Participates in requirement-gathering sessions with business sponsors
  • Leverages best practice visualization strategies and recommend new visual reporting solutions/strategies to meet the business needs
  • Develops and maintains low-to-medium complexity ad-hoc and recurring business intelligence reporting solutions through all stages of the software development life-cycle using a variety of reporting tools and techniques
  • Troubleshoots issues with existing processes as they arise
  • Develops and maintains automated processes using various tools and technologies
  • Develops, maintains and modernizes existing products that include moderate to complex SQL statements, ETL processes, Unix shell scripts, and/or SAS programs
  • Participates in discussions with senior team members to gain an understanding of the business needs and objectives for projects

Qualifications:

Minimum:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Computer Science, Business Analytics, or similar quantitative field preferred)
  • Must have one or more years of relevant experience developing and maintaining parameter-based, automated reporting products using SSRS
  • Must have two or more years of relevant experience developing & maintaining low-to-medium complexity database queries and ETL processes including primarily SQL
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
