As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive informed decision-making for the organization. You will work closely with all departments to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve overall company performance. Your expertise in BI analysis and consumer businesses will help stakeholders understand trends, identify opportunities, and address business challenges. Preferably with work experience in the consumer goods industry.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with business teams, managers, and executives to understand their requirements, collect relevant data points and ensure the data is structured in a way that can be used in existing and new data systems and reporting. Communicate results and insights, both verbally and written, in a clear concise manner to a non-technical audience, including data visualizations that communicate actionable insights.
- Data Integrity and Risk Management: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by conducting regular data audits. Identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders to address and resolve them. Analyze historical data and industry trends to proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
- Data Comprehension: Understands data sources and limitations, warehousing system, and the impact of that data on business decisions. Understands that information and data are key business assets and operationalizes the application of data and information to deliver optimal performance.

- Business Insight: Build tools that translate insights to action. Develop and maintain data sources and dashboards to enable responsiveness to ad hoc questions in a timely manner.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement data models to organize and structure data for analytical purposes. This involves understanding the relationships between different data elements to facilitate more in-depth analysis.
- Data Governance and Security: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Adhere to data governance policies and standards to maintain data quality and protect sensitive information.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Recommend and implement process enhancements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase productivity. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques to enhance BI analysis capabilities.
- Data Analysis: Aligns and directs the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision, strategies, objectives, and goals of business. Partner with senior team members to assess needs and define business questions.
- Forecasting and Predictive Analysis: Utilize forecasting and predictive modeling techniques to anticipate future trends and outcomes. These insights can assist in strategic planning and risk assessment.
- Report and Dashboard Creation: Use statistical and analytical techniques to explore and examine the data. This involves identifying patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies to gain a deeper understanding of the organization's performance. Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data in a clear and concise manner. These tools make it easier for stakeholders to grasp complex information and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years leveraging Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense or other BI tools for building interactive dashboards as well as ad hoc analyses. Power BI experience preferred.
- Experience working with internal and external partners across multiple disciplines. Comfortable interacting with team members of all ranges of experience to gain understanding of the data needs and wants of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel, statistical/regression analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting.
- 5+ years transforming and storing data via SQL, Azure or other data warehousing tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, including procurement, demand planning, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strategic and innovative thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment. Proven success developing robust reporting dashboards, which produce actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
- Quick learner who can grasp the core needs of a business and rapidly develop measurable solutions.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets and communicate/present solid conclusions and recommendations.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Proficient in using Power Query M language for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data modeling and analysis.
- Organized with superior time-management and planning skills. Adapts easily to changing situations and demonstrates flexibility in juggling priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, economics, statistics or another related field a plus.
- 5+ years BI analyst experience, preferably in ecommerce, retail, or consumer business environment.
