Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: 1250 Techny Road, Northbrook, IL 60062

Duties: Design and develop analytics and data insight capabilities to assist business management with financial and market intelligence. Develop high complexity ad-hoc dashboards and reports that meet the existing and emerging reporting and analytical needs of the enterprise. Responsible for the development of analytics to interpret and summarize data findings for financial, operations, and strategic aspects of our business. Develop and modify reports, verify information integrity, and design business intelligence dashboards, performance scorecards, charts and graphs, drill-downs, and dynamic reports to meet new information needs. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics that provide precise view of business performance. Run SQL queries, provide reports or updates via visualization tools such as Microstrategy or Tableau. Monitor historical and real-time performances of key metrics to detect and report anomalies. Use data analytics to effectively deliver findings to stakeholders. Create pipelines and queries in our data warehouse to analyze large sets of internal data. Collect, aggregate, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to drive insights in business performance. Leverage data to understand our products and processes in depth, identify areas of opportunity, and support projects to drive growth, engagement, and process improvement. Partial remote work from home permitted.

Education + Experience Requirements: Master’s degree in management information systems, data science, computer science, or related and 1 year of experience as a business intelligence analyst, data analyst, or related. In lieu of a master's degree and 1 year of experience, will accept a bachelor's degree and five years of experience in the same fields.

Special Skills: Must have work experience with each of the following: 1.) Using Python (Anaconda Distribution package) along with cloud-based and on premises data warehouses to build ETL frameworks to analyze and extract semi-structured and structured data from multiple sources; 2.) Developing SQL queries connecting cloud-based and on premises data warehouses to provide data insight involving complex logic, sub querying, partitioning, indexing, stored procedures, and aggregate functions, including cloud data warehouse functions; and 3.) Using advanced reporting and dashboard tools to build and transform report models, parameterized reports, and multifunctional dashboards with key performance metrics and provide reporting and analytical solutions.
