Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

1. Experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. learning standards and multiple assessments

  • Knowledge of careers, job shadowing and internships
  • Desire and knowledge to meet students' social/emotional and academic/intellectual needs.
  • Desire and ability to work collaboratively with an academic team.
  • Evidence of strong speaking and writing skills
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Knowledge of Understanding by Design
  • Uses varied instructional methods and assessments to support:
  • Meaningful, authentic use of knowledge
  • Engaged learning
  • Academic Intervention Services
  • Higher-order thinking skills
  • Evidence of strong classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement and student success in the classroom.
